Thank you. You should definately give it a go. Its quite easy once you get the hang of brush and strength choice. Out of all the digital painting techniques I've tried it is by far my favorite, and its so versatile. I'm glad I've inspired you

Thanks, both of you.

I'm trying to put together a gallery of digital art but getting source pictures that arent going to get me sued is difficult. Especially since my favorite subject is portraits. I've tried to find out about copyright in the UK for work like this but there isnt anything specific in the law and as far as I can tell, no legal precident. :s

Not a retouch... but...

Closer to reality?

Altering perfection can only make something not perfect (IMHO).

Peter I really like this look you have mastered....

Danny its a lovely photo to paint and all previous renditions are great...

I have tried the oils brushes in Painter....wanted a more painted look and hope I havent over done it!!! Used Flaming Pears Aetherize to change the colors a bit and framed in Photoshop with an action...

Patricia......

Patricia...like your painting... especially the texturing of background and the dress.
Steve ...this is what they call "an art of contrast" Did you think about a name? Something like "A princess and a pig", or "realities of life".
