..no, but you came up with some goodies. Didn't know there was a name for this kind of off-beat thing, but it's fun to try for a different approach sometimes.

Well ok, how about "Swell & Swine?" And there's always "Beauty & The Beast."

Thank you Patricia. I can't wait to see what this slightly demented mind comes up with next either.

thanks for the kind words.

A liquid ink version primed in PS and painted in Painter.
I agree with PatriciaKay, PeterS - so much to learn - a never ending process.

Another go done in Photoshop. Aimed for a lineart effect using the stamp filter and masking.

Re: Creative Portraits: Pink Flower in her Hat

Heh Patricia. I also had not used the stamp filter much but became aware of its potential in a tute link Danny(I think) had posted for comic art.

http://www.photoshopmama.net/chores/...omicart_1.html
The filter uses foreground and background colors, so preselect your colors.
I ended up adding to the outlines on a blank layer by using a hard brush with black, and masked out what lines I did not want. The layer underneath this stamp layer was filled with my lighter color and I masked it through. Hope this helps.
I like the look it gives and will be messing about with it more.
