This was done using by combining effects rendered by Photoshop Dry Brush, the Impressionist plugin (#djroil24) and applying some strokes via Acrylic > Captured Bristle, Blender > Grainy Blender, Cloner > Soft Cloner and Impasto > Smeary Bristle brushes in Painter IX.

Is this similar to your technique on "Autumn Girl"? I really like it, whether it's the same or not.

I think this guy's cute, so your son must be cute also!

Tried load of stuff with this one nothing looked any good, so tried the torn edges filter and messed with liquify.

Hey I was getting bored with it and wanted to make it fun!!!!

After your winning sketch it's very hard to keep the proportions the same.
There's always a temptation to make the smile just a bit bigger.
