| | Very, very nice work going on here. Here is mine. I used Painter oil brushes and cloners, and PS to finish.

| | | I am still quite new to photoshop and thought I would give this picture a try. I wanted to make this cute little guy a little more dramatic, not so washed out.
Here is my attempt.

| | Very nice and rich Karyn. I wanted to try a sketch and used Trimoon's tutorial with some extra adjustments.

| | | Nathaniel is too cute and too angelic looking to not work on his picture. Dad and Mom, you can be proud of him.

| | Alan, thanks for the compliment.
I didn't do anything special.
Levels
New Layer - Multiply
Mask the face Feather the selection by a radius of 50
Inverse the selection and adjust the Levels to darken the selection
Merge Visible on New Layer
Gaussian Blur a radius of 1
Add a Mask to reveal the eyes, nose, mouth
Touch up on blotchy colours and blemishes
Made the teeth whiter
By the way, Alan, I was inspired by your fabulous sketch

| Hi Legacy Art. I never thought you were, but I am one of those linear minded people who likes resolution and realized when you posted again that you hadn't seen my response. It was surprising to me how the lip color seemed to change as soon as I erased through and flattened the layers. Always something new to learn in PS.
I'm very sorry to hear about your grandfather. Our prayers are with your family. |
