Creative Portraits: Handsome Dude

I thought this gentleman had a lot of potential for artistic interpretation.

Prove me right!

Thought I would give this guy a try.
Here is my version. I did a number of things, but how I finally got here is beyond me. Just messing around and having fun.

Ain't Photoshop fun!
....or ain't photoshop dangerous?

One dragan'ish and the other glamour'ish.
Though I'm not telling which is which.

Interesting interpretations all. And you even made him smile PanPan. Got a good laugh out of that one.

palms,

you'll notice in my profile that i never give out my address, isp, email address or phone number sometimes anonymity is a good thing.

i've done any number of these over the years, usually guys in female bodies and i always get responses. most take it for what it was meant, just good natured teasing. so, no death threats yet

it's actually a little off too. i shld have skewed the head or body a bit.

Craig

Wow! Some creative interpretations on this one, gang. Well done! (Now I can't get the "Mr. Clean" jingle out of my head. )

- - - - -

I started out by creating a few layers using the Impressionist plugin. Then I checked out a different thread where Steve and Catherine were talking about Buzz. Inspired by their banter, I trashed the Impressionist rendered layers, dusted off Buzz, duplicated the Background and applied the Watercolor.stk setting. I followed that by duplicating the Background again a couple times applying Photoshop's Find Edges filter + Desaturate command to one, and Smart Blur (Edges only) + Invert to another.

Hide all Layer Masks were added to the top layers and white was airbrushed on them to reveal selective details. A new layer was created and all visible layers were merged into one. I did a little cloning to get rid of the shadows behind his head and used the Smudge and Blur tools to soften some of the edges a bit.

Finished up by adding some "noise" and tinted using a Hue/Sat adjustment layer set to colorize.

What about an enhancement of the picture, as i tried to remove the green from his head, and didn't like the effect!

I just love the Mr. Clean. I needed a good laugh today.

Lots of great work here. And I love the frame on the last one.

Palms - A combination of filters were used. Nik filters, Simplifier, Xero, Sketchmaster, Adapt.eq and layer styles/blending modes.

Danny - I've been waiting for it as well.

Very handsome young man, once the original background was desaturated...

Nice gentle smile, but he's too big for me to try any shennanigans with his image (you can track down anybody/anything on the internet if you try really hard ), so I'll just try a softened look --

I did this handsome dude in oils. sort of...

Blackened the background, ran Impresionist flourescent palette knife on one layer, set to 100 size and 100% coverage. The desaturated and skin toned the result. Merged that with the original, then ran it through VP oil, setting everything at 0 except for the material (canvas) at 50.

As per usual, the scaled down and cropped version sucks, but you can see the full version at http://bigbluebird.com/handsomedudefull.jpg . I like how the canvas shows through on his shirt.
