Baby Peek-a-boo redux Way back in 2002, my daughter Josephine was featured in a Mini Challenge: http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/sho...ight=szczyrbak Y'all did an amazing job back then. We'll she turned 5 years old on Monday. I took this pic at the Aids Memorial Grove in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco and gave myself a mini challenge. Trying for the japanese anime look, specifically Nickelodeon's Avatar. Original:http://gszczyrbak.googlepages.com/avatar.jpg PhotoArt:http://gszczyrbak.googlepages.com/joavatar3.jpg What do you think? Actually I used this tutorial for most of it. http://www.macmerc.com/sections.php?...tid=209&page=1 Anyone care to give it a go? Actually I'd love to know how to put different clothes on her.

Welcome back. This is a positively great pic... I moved your thread to this forum where it will get a little more attention. My daughter will be 10 in a week and I can't believe how fast the last five years have gone. Don't blink. Here's a cut at a black and white conversion, something I've been tinkering with of late. It's a combination of the individual color channels, blended with layer masks. I'm looking forward to playing with this one some more!

Yes, I remember this little munchcan; haven't any cool idea's for this one, but I'm thinking about them. Pretty cool idea Craig. lol Paula and Palms: both fantastic sketches. Dan: like the conversion. I am thinking along the lines of a monochromatic myself.

Well I decided to do a color sketch instead. Talking about weird; I thought I saw this earlier and did a rendering of it, but I guess I didn't submit it then (didn't see it on ImageShack anyway). ![]() Anyway, I used Sharp Control (a standalone program from Vtie) to create the illustration look. I then used Xero's Supersmooth filter for some cleaning. Simple simple simple. Did some touch up smudges and cloning as well. Here's the full-res version (over 1.4 MByte). I attached a very low quality crop.

Perfect photo! Here's my version done primarily in Painter with some PS tweaking. Had to bring the quality way down - but here it is. MargaretM
