Y'all did an amazing job back then.
We'll she turned 5 years old on Monday. I took this pic at the Aids Memorial Grove in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco and gave myself a mini challenge. Trying for the japanese anime look, specifically Nickelodeon's Avatar.

My daughter will be 10 in a week and I can't believe how fast the last five years have gone. Don't blink.

Here's a cut at a black and white conversion, something I've been tinkering with of late. It's a combination of the individual color channels, blended with layer masks.

I'm looking forward to playing with this one some more!

Talking about weird; I thought I saw this earlier and did a rendering of it, but I guess I didn't submit it then (didn't see it on ImageShack anyway).

Anyway, I used Sharp Control (a standalone program from Vtie) to create the illustration look. I then used Xero's Supersmooth filter for some cleaning. Simple simple simple. Did some touch up smudges and cloning as well. Here's the full-res version (over 1.4 MByte). I attached a very low quality crop.
