Palms, thank you. I'm very happy with the result myself ... as for what exactly did I do... let's see...selected face and blue wall behind...changed colors to the shades of blue and grey...used that for base layer and then did a number of consecutive transformations on that layer...FlamePear ghost...merged...used USM at high settings...smart blur to blur face surfaces leaving edges (and hair) intact...I think posterized at this point, not entirely sure...IMP using Alex crosshatch II at default settings (twice), PS watercolor....sketch of the original photo (find edges, desaturate), used white soft brush to remove "noise" leaving only face lines, merged in "multiply" with reduced opacity, art paper for background. I am a bit unsertain as to there some of the steps were done and I'm not sure if I used posterize at all...probably at low settings.
Best regards.
Pavel

I don't know the right way to post an image with the thumbnail... my first image post here.
Hey, Mike...

Glad you jumped into the pool. Nice work on this one.

The trick to attaching images: Below the message text window is a button with a not-so-intuitive label, "Manage Attachments." Click it to bring up a browse/upload dialog.

Note: 100 KB max file size. Photoshop Save for Web/Optimize to File Size dialog works great for this function. (see attachment)
