Re: Creative Portraits: Man in Hat

Thanks kraelin! Thanks 'pk'!

I don't know what the equivalent would be in painter to the flat brushes. I can post some strokes if you like. I think it might have to do with the SA software. It's supposed to be totally different than Painter.

Kiska...Just been playing with the brushes in Painter and the dull conte is half right...so many brushes it will take me years to get to know them...but its fun! Thanks....

I have no choice but to confirm reluctantly "yes - it was your sketch I used "

I used layer mask to show background...changes could've been lost...

I'm not happy with the white version , I lacks something...contrast(?).

Re: Creative Portraits: Man in Hat

Lots of great stuff here - these are just a few that stick in my memory (or what passes for a memory these days)-
Pavel - I love your blue period
Danny's sketchy version
Lqqker - nice and moody
Trimoon-I really dig that craquelure
Amy--yours might be my fave. Love the distortion.

I distorted mine, too, but less daringly. Done in CS2/Impressionist (fluff's Old Masters with mods) Had to cut quality to 6(!!) to make it fit.
