Re: Creative portraits: Nice Gal

Thanks Danny.

Ok..see if I can remember the steps.

Grayscale image & crop. Angled strokes, adjusted midtones to eliminate unwantwed lines, painted out any remaining lines to get close to effect I was after, ran either sharpen or USM and applied mask to edges.

Re: Creative portraits: Nice Gal

seeing some very good renditions here.

to me, the hair is a strong element, but not the strongest. to me, it's that sultry, pouty, slightly antagonistic expression and face. reminds me a lot of a young Sharon Stone.

I like it too Palms.

The mono really makes it pop. Never thought to do it that way.

Re: Creative portraits: Nice Gal

Went to Babelfish and it said that the symbols 서한우 translates to "Letter right". Doesn't really make sense; just because I'm part Korean doesn't mean I understand the language.

Re: Creative portraits: Nice Gal

Palms,
I don't think you did such a good job messing the picture up. A very neat scetch. So, I went for "messed up" rendering.

JimJam, thank you.
