It was done in Painter, that much I can remember quite clear. The rest of the "walk through" is guesswork (to some extent at least). Cloned the image using soft cloner. Used Conte (dull 15) at default settings to mess up the image. Used something (could be the same conte brush) set to cloning at low opacity to bring back some of the features. Oily blenders. Some sort of oil brush (cloning?) for background. Blenders again. Canvas texture in Photoshop.

Ok. . . just the basics here. I did a color correction on it, added a slight blur for depth of field and did a color to BW conversion with a hue/saturation adjustment layer/mask.

Not sure how to post the previews here, but I'll try...If the full size image comes through then I apologize
Just your basic magazine retouch. Notice any differences other than color??

Re: Creative portraits: Nice Gal

the three 서한우 's are a browser replacement for the person's name, Seo Han Woo (i think). look at his signature on his work and you can make it out there. i think you have to have the language pack installed on your browser to see his name in the title area. he did introduce himself in his first post here, which is somewhere in the art forums. and yes, his work is excellent!

messing up

Thank you Pavel, unfortunately i dont have painter,

With regards to messing up what started as a bit of fun has been quite a journey, my idea would of been something that nobody would like including myself. so why on this latest attempt have i spent half a hour getting it just right ?
Hard to explain but try it

welcome Nescreation for help with attaching "previews" look here

Unless stated in the opening thread more or less anything goes painting or not just have fun

Craig thank you for info it seemed a bit rude not to be able to use a persons name
