Re: Creative Portraits - Lotsa Curls

Thanks, Danny for the Pre-view and the link. I wish I had tried out Sketch Master before I bought it.
And thanks for the awesome presets. It had been so long since I used Paint Engine, that I ended up uninstalling/reinstalling and adding a ton of great presets.

Re: Creative Portraits - Lotsa Curls..not now!

Lovely pics done by all...

Well she was having a bad hair day yesterday and my brush kinda slipped a few times and ended this way.....

This is purely a fun one...I know all the hairs wrong...but i just kept goin....I have never done this before...another first...

The first one I did all the mess in Photoshop CS2 with various hair brushes,smudging...played in AAA filters with the multi filter and came up with the posterize one...
The second one i did all of that and then Dreamy...the free Autofx plugin and turned her a bit blue!!!!

Patricia.....

PS....Normality will resume as soon as possible!!!..........MAYBE!

Sepia version to add to the pot - I basically messed about and don't really remember exactly what I did. I buzzed to begin with, did some water spatter in Painter and some chalk among other things. Finished with a slight blur in Photoshop.

Re: Creative Portraits - Lotsa Curls

Had to have a go in color - I was getting back to work and saw Palms new version and so I played some more. Oh well, you know what they say about all work and no play, but I wonder what the boss says about all play and no work?? Hope I don't find out.
This one was done in Painter mainly with the thick camel cloner. Applied light texture and then painted the curls some more to hide the texture there. Framed in Photoshop.

Re: Creative Portraits - Lotsa Curls

Thank you Pavel
I made a sketch/line layer then saved
opened original again, used impressionist djroil24 (made brush slightly bigger )
then saved again
reopened colour layer then copy and pasted the sketch over the top
used the history brush ( pastel dark 118 in the narural brushes2 ) and painted any which way till i got the look (the idea was to leave some of the sketch showing and i probably used a new layer so i could erase some if i wanted to )
There might be a easier way to do it but my brain was a bit addled

Margeret i hope he dosent find out either but as you live far enough away you could always blame me
