Re: Handsome Guy

This was done with layering texturing and layering texturing. It took about 40 layers before I was happy with them. I would work on one area at a time applying texture and erasing texture on different layers. It was kind of a mindless process.

I really like that one-dark and brooding. But, really, what do lawyers know about art?

Re: Handsome Guy

Palms, I heard that.
Your 10 min sketch worked great. Really like the look.

Don't mean to spoil the fun, but it looked like a short step from a handsome guy to a handsome devil.

Wow, nice work everyone!

Two versions....First done in CS2 and Painter oils. The second a hi-key with history brush at 60% soft light and added grain.

Re: Handsome Guy

Nice pic to mess with. Thanks, Amy, for getting us going. BTW: I used to look like this... about 30 years ago.

Anyway, back to reality...

This one is based on a layer rendered by Akvis Sketch to which Paint Engine > Wetter2 was applied a few times followed by Virtual Painter > Oils which, oddly, yields kind of a watercolor effect. Then the original layer was duplicated, dragged to the top of the layer stack and its blend mode changed from Normal to Color.

Another layer was added onto which I slapped some colors ala Jeremy Sutton, but he does it much, much better than I do (LOL).

Re: Handsome Guy

Like the water color Danny. @Wetter2 preset is one of my favorites; haven't used it in a few months though (it's in my other set of presets due to the 100 preset limit criteria; one day I'm just going to have 5 and be happy. lol).

Patricia Nice pic, those eyes. I might just have a go at this myself if only to banish the spooky feel they give out.
