Re: Another Nice Gal

Not necessarily a purple phase....it's just what came about after I dropped a bunch of adjustment layers on the original......I really like what it does for the greens and yellos in the eyes......

When I say ugly curve, I mean that the one I used prior looked out of control.....it's a curve I could probably not use in my day job!!

Re: Another Nice Gal

I just ran into something very odd. I always use Photoshop's "save for web" feature to get photos below 100k for posting. On this one, Photoshop would only take it down to about 350k. My guess is that there is so much detail in the photo that it would have been ruined at lower levels of compressions.

Anyway, I cropped, and cropped and cropped until it would save below 100k. Needless to say, this misses most of the photo. But I think this effect is interesting and fun. The effect is Embroidery from Virtual Painter 5.

Re: Another Nice Gal

This girl was so pretty I didn't want to do much to her. I just did a little photo correction soften the skin using Neat Image applied a glamour filter did a hue/sat/lightness adjustment and added the frame.

Hope ya'll enjoy,

Alexmeta, that's a great combination of line and color. How did you do that?

Hi, Andrew, thank you for your comment.
I don't remember the details: first - more saturation, second unsharp, third - impressionist, and last - in the top layer "line pic" with line burn blending mode.

Somehow I missed this one the first time around. Thougth I would try a Chiaroscuro fake smudge since the image really demanded this of me.
