wanted to go painterly.

edge mask with dust and scratches. Then sharpened the smoothed layer. Then Impressionist chunky chalk faded....then an overlay layer to up the contrast and saturation... and fixed a few bits here and there to make it more painterly.

Thank you swampy although i done this before i knew of your great technique so i dont think it is texture mapping ( or if it is it was a accident ) it was mike finns pop action with a colour change and a emboss layer on the sketch layer. If i get time later i do want to try texture mapping on faces, not gone down that route yet ! ! ! !
