Re: Creative Portraits: A Great Pose - The Blond

Great image to work with and very nice work everyone.

Here are my two tries at this one (I probably could have done a dozen different variations - this was a great image).

First Image:

Smudged, duped, Screen blended @35%, Flattened, selectively dodged and sharpened.

Second Image:

Ran it through my Chalk Sketch action, cropped, minor smudging to soften hard lines, lightly textured.

I love Button pushing and there are so many!
I just discovered if you use the despeckle button after fixing skin tones and blotches it smooths the skin out beautifully - ok you probably all know this but I feel like Captain Cook

You have many more exciting discoveries awaiting you, Captain!!

I think most of us are still happily surprised by some combination of filters or layer blends or adjustments we haven't tried before -- or have forgotten. That's part of the fun.

Beautiful lady to work with and a lot of great work posted. I thought I'd give this one a try.

This is such a great portrait to start with I don't think it needs much work IMHO, but here is my take. Just ran it through a cross processing action that I have created, duped the backgroung layer and ran this through the Diffuse Glow filter and set the blend mode to lighten and opacity to about 40%.

Fitz i agree great image to work on, and i like both of your post's more so the chalk one

Cimarron C.J. is right loads to find out about and remind us about cause i for one do tend to forget, i do right notes down but usualy so that i need a decoder to read them

C.J. they are different in a nice way

DWThomp another nice one to add to the growing collection

Phil you can edit your posts here so if like me you forget to add your photo you can go back and add it, or check your spelling I like the way you have enchanced the colours within the photo

Hats off to all of you. There are some exceptional interpretations on this one.

----------

On this one I used...
* Impressionist
* Snap Art
* Redfield++ (bas relief)
... plus some smudging, sharpening and cloning.

I quite agree, Danny! One of those exceptional interpretations is yours -- your painting practice/experience has really paid off.
