Hmmm. I seem to be alone here.
A Twisted Brush sketch. (My sketch technique is a work in progress, I know.)
Thanks, Danny, for the pic. |

A bit tricky to put some colour into this, but I had a shot.
Usual stuff. PS -> Painter -> PS

| | | GREYCStoration smudge. Amplified the colors there using a cool GIMP trick. Dup for total of three layers, Desaturate the Top layer and set to Grain Extract, merge down and set to Grain Merge. Now duplicate this new layer til happy. Anyway, also did some selective colorizing of the hair (since I don't like psychedelic hair color; ) after running GREYCStoration. Here's the hirez, high quality version. Attached is a reduced size lower quality sample. |

Rô | Hey, Rô...
I'd be interested in knowing which Painter brush variants you used, especially on the hair. That came out great.

| | | Re: Creative portraits: Jessica Glad you like it, Danny
I use only Artist's Oils: Wet Oily Brush.
High opacity for hair, lower for the other regions.
By itself the result isn't very interesting, so I take it back to PS for postwork.
I've attached an action that I use to enhance the strokes (the last step would be my home-made equalizer - but that's not inlcuded)
