Re: Creative Portraits: Redhead with an Attitude

cool

well, ver. 2 beta still has at least one stage left to test and that stage hasnt been shown yet, so there's still some time to play i think the first time buy price is the same as the current price... i think. but there are some significant discounts to doing upgrades from ver 1 to 2 and so on. i dont pay much attention to pricing any more. i have two copies both with free lifetime updates. i have one copy on my xp machine and one on my win7 machine and beta 2 on both. so, i actually have four instances of filter forge on my machines

have you ever tried out the demo(s), lyle?

Re: Creative Portraits: Redhead with an Attitude

Not yet Craig. Not keen on Beta software (burnt in the past), and don't want to install trial software either. Even when I installed DAP originally, I did purchase it the same day since I already knew that I would. I don't purchase things too often since I'm having to be very conservative with my dough right now. Anyway, still amazed at what you've done with filterforge.

Got rid of the shadow over her eyes.
Played around with dry brush and cutout filters.
Added a faint pink gradient.

Re: Creative Portraits: Redhead with an Attitude

Thought I would try smudge stick this time (Impressionist default setting that I modded using original for background). Of course I heavily pre-processed prior to the Impressionist step, and also post-processed using Bumpmap effects and such.

Like the textured ivory look of the cameos Craig. Assuming it was done if Filter Forge.

Re: Creative Portraits: Redhead with an Attitude

Sorry; couldn't help myself. lol

I did add displacement mapping which helped remove the regularity of the maze rendering technique (which helps the subject come through better). Click link below for bigger version.
