Re: Creative Portraits: Red Headed Beauty

Here is my go at it. I have been doing impresionist stuff for a while now and almost forgot how to do a smudge painting. Anyway, hope you like it....

Re: Creative Portraits: Red Headed Beauty

I thought this girl reminded me a lot of Ariel from the Little Mermaid... so I thought I'd see what I could do to make her look that way. I considered adding more elements to make her more mermaidish, but I only had like 30 minutes to work on it and didn't want to get too carried away. The first image is the background change and the second is a more painterly version.

Re: Creative Portraits: Red Headed Beauty

Tahnks you guys.
Yes Palms it was the water paper filter on a 50%grey b/ground, overlaid with a slight emboss, then used one of the colour channels as a mask to soften the effect. Glad U liked it.

I had another go as well!!!!

Peter

Re: Creative Portraits: Red Headed Beauty

Desaturated and painted with a pencil in Painter.

Back to Photoshop, layer blend mode set to Linear Burn over the original
