and i also very much like your original rendition. you have a combination there, of sharpness and softness which i find very appealing.

and, thanks for the link. i tried it out. it seems to only work on photoshop and not psp. it crashed psp when i ran it from there. seems like a good piece of software. simple interface, very intuitive and did a nice job on the image i tried with it.

Still experimenting with various simplication techniques. Cat (other forum) started a theme thread concerning Gradients which I see lot's of potential for certain abstract renderings. Used a multi-color gradient to start things off and did some other things too.

It's been ages since I've played with Impressionist, forgot how much fun it it is!
this is 4 layers starting with a large chalky brush then progressivly shrinking the brush and masking out unwanted detail.

Gave myself ten New York minutes and came up with this..maybe I can put a little more time into it later! Beautiful portait to begin with; in a way, I hated to alter it.

Buzz simplifier and pure colour on the first layer, with a coloured edge outline merged on top..paint strokes in Gertrudis Pro because I am pressed for time..then another edge layer on top of that...

This is my first post on this site. But I saw this photo and had to give it a go. It's just such a great shot. I used Photoshop with no plugins, and just gave her a basic glamour makeover and tried to create sort of an ethereal glow about her.

the only way to upload a file larger than 100k is to become a patron. you then get 200k per image. (or, you cheat like me and become a moderator ).
