Just sittin in the grass

Ah its time I posted something again.
Thought this might be good.

A copy of the original can be found here

A larger version of my effort can be found here

It was Danny that gave me the idea to do something in B&W, he's on a roll with it right now.

Now go and enjoy.

Re: Just sittin in the grass

Great photo to play with, Peter! How 'bout some sepia tones?

Desaturate, pushed pixels around then painted with the art history brush and history brush. Added film grain and a touch of texture.

Watercolor illustration on textured paper.

And it's kind of nice to be able to post 200K files now.

Sepia is OK with me Swampy I like that one.
lkroll nice to see all the picture at once instead of a crop!!!
Palms I' glad your doing as your told for a CHANGE you've inspired me to get out my AHB brushes again. Cassidy very nice version there.
Steve looks like you've been using Redfields there BTW I hate you for thinking of a better title for this thread.

Peter

Larger version for this effort of mine here, there is a texture there but at this res it's hard to see hence the link.

LOL...Guess I just got to thinking of the ancient Clifton Webb movie of the same name when I titled this interpretation.

Nope...didn't use Redfields's. This is a new style from the latest version of Gertrudis Pro, (not out yet.) Have been helping out as a beta tester for this program.

And thanks.

Clifton Webb eh - showing your age there (1948)

I thought Redfields, because if you apply it once then again, (Ctrl+f), 2 or 3 times more you can get a very similar effect.
Happy testing.

Don't know if his movies were popular in the U.K. or not.

He made quite a few good ones. "Cheaper By The Dozen", (a true story), is one of my favorites. Also he was in one called "Three Coins in The Fountain" which was filmed in Rome. The fountain was, of course, Trevi.

Well I did have to go and ask my granddad who he was, and I got the date from imdb.

I am too much of a gentleman even to inquire about a lady's age. I would just like to say that, the mistake that was me, also was not twinkling at that time either. (now where is that indignant smiley when you want it)
BTW Palms if you have never heard of him how come you seem to be on first name terms - ahh gotcha
