| | | Creative Portraits: Long and Wavy Okay I haven't post one for a long long time.
So here's one from the long departed El Dorado site for you all to enjoy (I hope)
I've been experimenting with making my own brushes
Is that quick enough for Mrs P ????

| | | Re: Creative Portraits: Long and Wavy Hey Peter; really like your sketch. I've been in that sketchy mood of late too so did mine in color. Left a crop to keep Danny happy (and just in case the original get's lost over time). |

| | | Re: Creative Portraits: Long and Wavy I had a go with this, but I find that my results are over 100k board limit, and the only way to reduce is to either save as 30% jpg quality (bad picture) or make the image 640 x 480 ish in size = effect not visible too well.
Will this board ever increase the allowed image size? 250k would be good. |

| | | Re: Creative Portraits: Long and Wavy Lyle - I have to say I didn't like the thumbnail but when I viewed the full picture I changed my mind very quickly - like it
Palms - as ever what can I say, err rubbish, only joking I like it.
Steve I tried to get that effect but my masking for the lips was awful.
Amica - that's sharp very nice
OB - you certainly brought out the highlights there. (BTW I'm looking for one to call Long and straight watch this space)
Fluffbutt - come on post the link.
Gilbert - love it but the BG doesn't seem to fit otherwise excellent
Alex - again at first I wasn't sure about it, but it gets better after a couple of drinks, sorry views
Keep them coming

| | | Re: Creative Portraits: Long and Wavy Sketches, huh?
Here's Mine.
Started with some color correction and contrasting then Smart Blur (edges) for the basic outlines. Diffuse/Aniso. Set to Color Burn
Used the luminosity from the color layer (3 copies merged). Desaturated. Filter/Brush Storkes, Cross Hatch. Under the Color Burn Layer
Inverted the luminosity from the color layer. Desaturate. Crosshatch.
ABOVE these three layers: A copy of the color layer desaturated and set to Color Dodge. |

Peter | I think I lucked out. Masking a small area like that ain't easy.
I did a bit of cleanup with the clone brush in Paint Shop Pro, & that helped.
