After trying a thousand different things I finally ended up using an action developed by Danny Raphael called "7ART-Palette Knife and WC-djr" on one of the leftovers

I agree with Danny (nice job by the way). I did mine as a toned Monochromatic with added grain (both Fibrous texture and other types) to hide a few imperfections.

What a great image and face to work with. Reminds me of once long ago when I had to go to a Senior Center in Corsicana Texas to photograph a 102 year old African-American man. His daughter worked at the center. WSe waited and waited he never showed up until about 2 hours past the lunch period. When his daughter asked him what had happened he told us all that he knew he was supposed to be there at noon, but, he had mowed his lawn that morning. He didn't think that the center gave a large enough portion to satisfy his hunger! His face was lean and lined and full of character like this one is.

Sorry for being so long winded. Oh, and no I don't have a copy of his picture. It belongs to the Governors office.
