Another Headshot for Palms

You seem to like these ones Palms so here's another for you.

Of course anyone else can try as well.

I tried a B&W then added back in a little colour, I don't know which I liked best so I'm posting both.

Slightly larger original http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/%5B...g%5D%5B/url%5Dhere:-

Re: Another Headshot for Palms

I do like these shots as you can practice a whole host of techniques on them ( when you have time and i am a bit short of that lately )
and i am not sure which ones i prefer of your two Peter, at the moment i am edging towards the b & w but i might change my mind

here is a quick one from me but i will be back

Re: Another Headshot for Palms

my normal workflow on all these art images is, i do six or eight rough renditions in filter forge or in psp and then call them all up and pick something i like the best and then fiddle around some more to clean up, blend with the original, or even blend some of the renditions.

so, this is why you sometimes see me post up to five images at one time and this time is no exception

this one was filter forge and some work in psp.

Devoid of color and grey; a heavy black ink stamp interpretation.

THNX Craig.

Great minds think alike . I must have done 8 or 10 versions before I posted the one you commented on.

Re: Another Headshot for Palms

She's solid gold for sure Craig. Been liking your metallics. I can come close using Gradient mapping and some fanagling, but Filter Forge looks like the better path.

Also, what can I say Gilbert. You are definitely one of the masters of the smudge.

Re: Another Headshot for Palms

thanks, lyle

you know, you can get the free metals pack of filter forge and others, here: http://www.filterforge.com/download/ . i dont know if those have anything similar to what i've been doing, but... they're free and you dont need filter forge to use them

Re: Another Headshot for Palms

Peter - You come up with some really good images to play with.
As with palms, I also enjoy portraits. Thought I'd try a slight abstract using Nik filters and Virtual painter.

Re: Another Headshot for Palms

What do you think of this version. I used a combo of lucis 6, nik, alien, with a bit of brushing.

I am new to the forum I hope I have posted properly.
