Young Lady by a Fence

I found this at SXC

http://www.sxc.hu/photo/816767

I think this is a great picture and will very do well here, after all look who's reading this.

You have virtually blank canvas to one side, so let your imagination free.

link to a better quality version of my effort:-

Re: Young Lady by a Fence

Was going to do a dreamland with Fairies and Unicorns, clouds and sparkly thingies in the fence area.. BUT wanted to see what kind of dream-scape or use of that area the others came up with (Palms, Amica, Swampy, Lonnie and all the others).. Besides it was to much of an undertaking for me!
I have to keep it simple!

Re: Young Lady by a Fence

Nice work all.

@ OB, I am not so a fairy, unicorn phantasy type :-) I didn't watch the Lord Of Rings or Harry Potter even though I had them around...Maybe I have a play later, but no fairies to expect from me :-)

you may be right - you've made her look older, err in her teens.

I quite like that though.

Very cool sketch effect, Peter...

I'm having no luck trying to receate it.

Help me out & point me in the right direction.

OB: Terrific job on the fence painting. At first glance I thought it said, "Diddy [as in 'P. Diddy', the rapper] (not Daddy) forever"!

Really like your painted look, Dan.

Re: Young Lady by a Fence

Thanks for all the kind words..

"Diddy"?.. Who Dat? I don tink so.. not on my puter screen anyway!

Peter the first one looks very Old World.. Nice! I like all kinds of Pencil Sketches.. (I think I like Pencil as much as Danny likes B/W) Yours looks great! Smudging people always impresses me cause I can't do it! love your work.....cheers..!
Lyle, I am lost for words...
Andy you brought out the colors very well.. Good Job!
Dan, that first one is very .. umm.. err.. Painterly.. But Yep! I like it also! The second one inspired me to try my Porcelain/plastic look (nice background!)
Alex, WOW, very old looking. Well done great looking picture, indeed!
Palms, Luv what you did with the "Blank Canvas", Looks real GOOD! Excellent job

First pic tried for a plastic or Porcelain doll look then stole Peters brush, converted it to an Impressionist brush for PS7 used it with Fluff Pencil:Water Pencil in Impressionist
