Impressionist, sketch layer, blending with masks.

This is a very nice oil simulation. The simplification with the help of Impressionist is just right. I'd just sort out the blue area near the corner of the left eye.

Thank you. Very good point, I'm wasn't happy about that myself. Not entirely sure that do about that, though. The original was dark, when the original was lightened, this area become shade of blue-gray. I'm not entirely sure how to get colors in this area right, short of manually painting them.

i used to work for a company that did this exact same thing. Convert photos to "oil paintings" . is this corel?
