Missed your question Craig (apologies). Can't remember exactly what I did here, but it looks like I used Paint Engine, @Wetter2 preset for part of the rendition.

Just another experiment. Dup (3 total layers), ran Xero's Supersmooth set to Grain Extract on top layer. Additionally ran Wavelet Denoise on the same layer. Set the layer to Grain Extract and merged down. Then did autolevel and blended result to base layer. Flattened and ran Xero's Supersmooth on that (for some cleanup). Outlined so I wouldn't forget what I did and just in case someone else wanted to know how I did it.
