Wow, some exceptional interpretations...

Wonderful pic to work with, Peter. You done really good picking this one to work on.

Mine was done in Photoshop using the Impressionist plugin to apply custom presets with various settings on numerous layers, combined using layer masks. Abbed some sharoening here and there, too.

Good eye... The impasto-like/illusion of depth comes from a textured brush I'm experimenting with.
