Re: cowboy portrait

There are lots or really good versions here and I can't add anything better than what's been done. So I'll just add a sketch.

Re: cowboy portrait

Wow, I'm really impressed by all the great work on this guy. Inspires me to try to learn more about portraits, I hate photographing people-as a photographer that is.

Re: cowboy portrait

I haven't done one of these in a while so I thought I'd give the cowboy a go.
Fun picture to play with.

Newbie Re: cowboy portrait

Hey, wonderful stuff going on here. I am posting my version, or what I wound up with that is.

Found a Fractilius type filter in Filter Forge. Still not very good with it tho.

It does look like a wanted poster. Looks good. Is this a filter I can try?

Re: cowboy portrait

The woodcut result for the litho was done by feeding my original Van Gogh like result into Mehdi's Fine Threshold filter as I recall (but you are asking me to remember something that I did over a year ago; lol).

Re: cowboy portrait

Thanks for the recollection. I didn't notice how old the thread was. Looks like I'm a year late. But it's a nice photo, so here's my try.
