| | | After the bath Okay, here's my first submission for you to have fun with. It's a shot of my youngest boy, after a bath. Have a ball.

| | | I love this picture Ed! What great renditions everyone has made.
I am learning so much from y'all (texas talk). I was going for a water color effect.

| | | I am so sorry, I don't know how I reached my result. I just started playing with the picture trying different things. When something doesn't work, I delete that and start over. Pretty soon my history fills up and I can't tell what I've done. I do know I did it all in Photoshop. I know I used aimphisoft simplifier, rough pastels, andromeda scatterlight, and played around with
other filters and selective color(for the background). I tried to replicate and I can't. I hate when that happens. I've come up with some neat stuff before, and can't remember how I got there. Do y'all write everything down. How do you remember?

| | Ed - Outstanding photograph. I only wish I had a high-res to play with.
Bill C - Love the leaf
Lisa - Nice sketch, they seem to get better and better.
GoldCoin - Your accident looks really nice.
Jill - You managed to capture the essence of the photograph with a very simple black and white. Nice.
BK - Nice rendition. I like the floor reflection.
Jean - Almost looks like a logo.
Shari - Very nice misty watercolor effect. The colors also blend very well.
I started out with using adapt.equalize to bring out some detail in the pooch.
Did a smudge on the pooch and the boy. Attempted to improve the skin tones a bit using skylight filter.
Used an assortment of blending modes to enhance colors.
I drew the background on several layers, expermenting with some colors and forms. |

| | | I am late to the party on this one. A lot of nice work here as usual. I do like the last post (Looker I believe) a lot. Has a kind of painting look with the detail of a photo.
Couldn't resist trying one although I had trouble downloading the original. The first thing I thought of when I saw this photo was - old photo. So, here is an old photo...

| | | 1st one.
Messing with a technique to create "panes" within an image. Trying to get an effect similar to the one in recent Hewlett-Packard commercials.
Nothing fancy technique-wise: Creating selections on the base layer and placing them on layers by themselves (Layer > New Layer > Layer by Copy)
- - - - - - - -
2nd one.
Mostly Impressionist effects on different layers, blended together.
It's 2 a.m. and I'm pooped. I-O-U the details. I'll write 'em up and post them this weekend.

Reason: Added pic and commentary regarding multiple panes.
