Still playing with Simplifier Plugin plus added texture with Impressionist.

Re: Creative Portraits: Girl sitting on Fence

How did I miss this one? Better late than never so I'll give it a go.

First I used the liquify tool to open up her eyes a little more since painterly effects often close them up.

The usual mask out the background and run a radial blur and add texture.

To get the painterly effect, I ran a pretty stong Noise Ninja pass on the "cowgirl" to basically smooth out all the "digital" detail and leave a china doll look to her skintones and features. Then a very minor palette knife. Just a little to change the flatnessl, and further eliminate the "photo" look.

Re: Creative Portraits: Girl sitting on Fence

Its taken me a while to reply here, thanks guys/gals (delete as necessary).

But it has been you lot that have helped me with these, even if you don't realise it. I check out the other posts first to give me ideas on what to do. You haven't let me down so far.

Thanks for the ideas everyone.

Peter
