Retouchpro on Photoshop TV In this weeks episode, Retouchpro is mentioned and one of its members. I couldn't believe it! http://www.photoshoptv.com If Matt comes here again: you're welcome! Thanks to you too! And to Felix Nelson: No I am not a stalker, I am hetero!

Hi. I downloaded pstv_07032006.mp4 (takes a long time with a modem) and tried to watch it with Irfanview where I got the error Cant read the header-Unknown file format. So I tried with Quicktime and got an Unknown error Nero will play the file sound only but no video. Thinking I had a corrupt copy I downloaded it again but I am getting exactly the same errors. Is there something special about these files? Do I need a special viewer? Or do I need to download it again? Ken.

That's too bad, You don't need to download it again! I think you are missing a codec. Do you have an old version of quicktime? Try downloading Itunes! Or you can watch it on an other computer.

That is soooooooo cool. The bizarre thing is, I noticed an increase in traffic to my site over the past few days. Referrer retouchpro.com has increased a lot. My stock.xchng figures have jumped to over 6000 downloads too, so I will assume this is all down to my thread being shown on Photoshop TV, when showing your signature. Well done HannibalVector on getting free publicity and increasing the members here at retouch Pro.

Thanks I think you were correct about the codec. I downloaded Itunes+Quicktime and it played fine. Well Done, Fame from a Signature and a great plug for RetouchPro. Ken.

Sorry to be negative here, violating my Mom's "If you don't have anything good......." rule, but here's my bitch. That podcast is horrible. I know it's not everyday we get free advice on the web about photoshop, but, dear lord, I can't stand the dorkiness and constant selling of junk that I'm subjected to during that half hour. And the "tips" aren't anything to speak of. Last week's had some lame advise about siloing one person out of a shot, enlarging that person, and placing her back in. "Changes the whole character of the shot" Well, duh. Used a magic wand, too. And this is a for profit buisiness, too, so you would think the production values would be a little better. But all I get is sniggering geeks who think they are funny, and mediocre advice. It's like hanging at the dork table in the high school lunch room because you want one of the guy's sister, but she doesn't turn out to be much fun anyway. end of rant.

Ever heard of "fast forward"? I usually find the tutorial stuff and clip them out using QuickTime Pro then archive them. I've been collecting since the first podcast and sometimes there are nuggets of good information burried in the "banter".
