Describe RetouchPRO in 100 words or less

I've been working on this site upgrade now for 2 days, with at least another two ahead of me, and I'm about fried. But I need something for the new Welcome box on the main site page. Something that describes all of RetouchPRO to someone who's never been here before, maybe who's never seen Photoshop or even used a camera before. (you'd be amazed at the amount of email I get "what does RetouchPRO do?")

If someone comes up with one I like, I'll shamelessly steal it and put it on the front page.

If I wasn't an old-timer here, the name "Retouch Pro" would say to me that all we do here is retouch & restore old and damaged photos. I have noticed lately that most of the postings are about just that.

Maybe a new or variation on the name would help.

Retouch Pro is a group of interested people who comprise novices and more experienced to professional contributors who show few limits in teaching and sharing with others. We share how to retouch/restore/artify digital projects whilst assisting inexperienced photographers too.

The forum acts as a nuturing learning environment where users share their techniques, methods and interpretations as well as convey information relating to software and hardware advice, releases and issues.

No question asked here is a "dumb" question, as the contributors to Retouch Pro are a very giving community and even the simplest of advice or request for help will be met with enthusiasm by the other contributors.

The user contributed tutorials are also often referred to in posts and provide an invaluable resource for aspiring retouch/restoration artists as well as more seasoned retouchers, who just need another technique

Re: Describe RetouchPRO in 100 words or less

Welcome to Retouch Pro. Who are we? Think of a floormat with the word "WELCOME" written on it. Everyone crosses that floormat. Young. Old. Experienced. Novice. Those with questions, and those with answers. Here, we share techniques, experiences, and opinions. We teach .... and, we learn. So teach us. Or learn with us. And ..... WELCOME.

Was that inspirational, or sad, enough?
