No Pics

Booting FF in safe mode, pictures work fine.
Flush Cache, reboot in regular mode, same or different pictures open fine.

I have not added and plugins with FF. I'm getting ready for 1) a hurricane and 2) a trip to California so... don't have much time to play with this until I get back next week.

My sense is, that if I just run FF images in RTP are not going to open correctly. If the first time I launch FF I launch in safe mode, the pics are going to work. I'll try to remember when I get back to see if logging out and then logging back in to RTP makes any difference.

Well a little update.
I have got the javascript thingy working, but I can't get on with it, it seems to be very slow at times.
At first I thought that's okay, but now when I click on a thumbnail the black screen with the spinning doodah appears and most often stays there.
So what I do now is double click the thumbnail and a new tab opens and I can view the pics as normal.
Quite often when I close these tabs to return, the black screen and spinny thing is still there.
If this effect was to disappear I would not miss it one bit.
Anyone else getting the same???

I still haven't figured out. About the time I think I've got it fixed, it breaks again. The maddening thing is there is nothing consistant except if it is broken in any given thread then it's gonna be broken everywhere on the board.

I wish I had the answer Swampy.
What worked for me (well sometimes), didn't work for you, I think its more than one issue here.

Some observations... I haven't totally nailed this down, but there does seem to be some consistency in the way the Flash viewer works

1. If I enter RTP and do a "New Posts" and open threads from the list of new posts, Pictures do not work.

2. If I enter RTP and into a thread by clicking on the thread link in a subscription notice email, the pictures do work.

3. If I select "Forums" from the Site Menu, Choose a forum then choose a thread, the pictures work.

Would there be anything in the routines that find "New Posts" that would interfere with the Java/Flash settings?

No, except the URL is a bit differently formatted. This might be confusing a popup or ad blocker.
