| | | New Site Map: What do you think? Post your comments (favorable, neutral, constructive) about the new site map.
Provide feedback in the poll, too, regardless of how long you've been a RP member. |

GREG: Good point.
If you had ultimate power, how would you suggest accompllishing that? |

| | | Danny,
I think you've all done an excellent job on the site map. I think it's much easier for a newcomer to find his way around now. At first glance, I wondered if color coded paths might be helpful, but after studying it for a few minutes, I'm not sure that's needed (but it still might be helpful).
I didn't take the poll because it doesn't have a place that really fits my situation. When I first signed on, there weren't many places to go, so getting lost wasn't a problem. The site now is nothing at all the way it started out, and I think others could give better feedback than I could on that issue.

| | great job Danny, it looks great!! I agree with Ed, color coding could be useful if it's not too much of a pain to change.

| | | Danny,
Great work. I 'm sure this will be useful in helping people find their way around the site. Any chance of putting a link on the main navigation bar. Typically a site map is right at your finger tips and at the top most navigation level so one can find it easy.

| | Let's make sure the right folks get the majority of the credit: * DOUG: Chief visionary, producer, director and president of quality control * JEANIE: Master choreographer, chief mind reader and senior software implementor * GREG C.: Vice president of alternative to Visio software research and recommendation * Danny: Self-appointed Thorn in the (back)Side, head of nay saying, VP of whining and complaining & initiator of this unsanctioned thread & poll.
The real measure of success will be gauged by feedback from future new folks and those relatively new to RP.
Regardless of future minor tweeks or major redos, IMHO the product of this iniative is a HUGE step forward and welcome addition to the site.
Regarding location of additional links, that's something Doug's considering at the moment. Film at 11.

| | Hi Folks
You can't leave for a few days without you guys going nuts. New Site map, New Challenges and millions of great threads.
I like the new site map, but only found it in Dougs opening sentence on the home page. I know it is somewhere else, but I don't see it on my monitor. Is my flop out menu incomplete again..

Jerry | No, I don't think so. It needs to be a little more accessible.

| | | Danny,
I think the link for the site map is a good move. But I still think it should be easy to see from any place someone could go. Newcomers will probably have a hard time finding the map.

| | I 100% agree, Ed.
The decisions of where to place map links and/or make main menu modifications, or whatever are in Doug's hands. He's given no indication lately that I'm aware of on where he is regarding these decisions nor status or of any tech. implementation that might be needed.
Since he's a pretty busy guy I wuz waiting for him to let us know "in his own time."
