Looks spiffy

Looks like this is the first message on the new boards.

Haven't looked at everything yet, but it does look spiffy...

Don't see the old flyout menu.

Yeah, he's still using the big hammer. I tried to post a while ago, with no luck. Where are the names of the moderators?

Ed

My big hammer in this case was a Photoshop batch action to desaturate the colorful buttons that came with the forum software. I'll be replacing them soon with more thoughtful versions, but after 8 hours of hacking on this thing I had to get some sleep.

Flyout menu is gone, it will eventually be gone from the entire site. There are a few options it allowed that aren't currently visible (like last 24 hours) but they still work and I'll be adding them to the new navbar up top soon.

Still lots of changes, many things were done quick/dirty just to get back online ASAP. Many other things are still broken (like the Gallery).

Doug, there's no quick way to get to the tutorials. Should maybe be included in the "quick links"??

Am I confused? If I'm in the forums and click on the main logo, it doesn't take me to the home page, just to the main Forum area. I can't seem to find a way to get "home" without changing the address in the IE "go" window.

There will be a lot of navigation changes. Eventually the entire site will use the same links bar. Right now I'm concentrating on just getting the software working. Bear with me for awhile. The flyout menu on all the non-forum pages still works.

Later: OK, the logo goes to the main site page. More to follow.
