My server company tells me we've once more outgrown their biggest/bestest server package at our service level. So we're going to have to move up a service level (again). This won't mean a thing to you, but I offer it in explanation to the inevitable outages and blips we're due to have during the transition.

For the more technically-minded amongst you, we'll be moving from a semi-dedicated server to a Virtual Private Server. What the difference is (other than requiring me to maintain a bunch of stuff that some guy in Bangalore has done up till now) I have no idea.

I might use this opportunity to upgrade some other stuff I've been putting off, I haven't made up my mind yet. It's not that I'm lazy (although I am), but that upgrading anything at all means losing the Tutorials section (the publishing software developer abandoned it a couple of years ago, and it's been holding back the forum, gallery, library, etc.).

Don't go passing the hat, we'll let the ads pay for this (I knew this upgrade was inevitable, that's why I bit the bullet and installed them).
