and with that new selection software coming out soon (i think it's out on the mac already), you may be seeing more of these sites/businesses. sorry, i forget the name of the software. there is a link in one of the threads here...somewhere.

Also the next version of The Gimp will have the SIUX algorithm for extraction. There is a video example here.

interesting, pierre. doesnt look as good as the other, but am glad to see the Gimp moving ahead. this SIOX selection looks somewhat similar to Paint Shop Pro's 'edit selection', different, but some similarities.

here's another imaginative business i found today while looking for mermaid pictures: http://www.isamaria.f2s.com . and whereas this isnt necessarily a straight 'retouching' business, it still somewhat fits along the retouchpro lines. look under the 'commissioned portraits' section.
