Does anyone have good samples of "Demand Letters"

Yes,
Once again I have a non-payer. JOY! Seems to be a trend with the sort I work with.

I'm going to send them copies of all their invoices from this year and include a demand letter. In these letters do you give the option of monthly payments or just demand the whole enchilada? I'm a nice gal and breaking it up would be fine providing they stick with the plan.

Do you recommend certified mail?
Experience? Suggestions?

Let me know

I've yet to have a letter work. The phone is the only way to get action, preferably when you can take a CC number from them.

They are either screening calls or have the phone set to go to voice mail. I figured for almost 2k, I better get the foundation ready for a civil suit.

As a last resort before you go to court, consider a collection agency. They'll keep 1/3, but you won't have to pay a lawyer, etc. But only the weakest agencies will go after it if it's too old. Coincidentally, the technique used by those weak agencies is...wait for it...writing letters

LMAO!

You know I wondered about using a collection agency and whether they would collect for a freelancer.
