| | Loverly's in Business! Hey guys,
My husband, kids and I all take Taekwondo lessons. The master of our school owns four studios and it is growing like crazy. Two weeks ago he announced that we were going to have a tournament Nov 12 with our schools and one affiliate school. I asked him about photos and if anyone takes professional photos for this event and the now monthly testing. He has seen me at the testings taking photos of my hubby and kids. To make a long story short he said yes to my photography and my collages! My foot is in the door! Http://loverlystudio.com/taekwondo/samples.htm
He also politely asked for me to figured in a lil something to benifit the school.
This is my first offficial work and I'll be getting a tax number this week to start off my business. I'm very excited about this opportunity after working very hard on my skills for two years without much to monitary compensation!
All that to say I am open for any bit of advice you may want to bestow upon a rookie!
Oh...and I'll be shooting with an Olympus E-20 I purchased in Feburary and I don't have the exterior flash but have been told to buy one.
Hugs,
Loverly

| | Wow !! Excellent news Lisa !
All the best in your about to start business enterprise
Like Craig I also wondered about the xmas garland project. Especially when the other day noticed that it is possible to attach a .zip file in RP posts ! I don't know which would be the size limitation though. (does anyone know ?)

| | | thx! Hey guys,
Thanks bunches for the well wishes!
I didn't find the garland yet. I had to put that lil project on hold while I made all of those templates (in one week) for the taekwondo stuff but I do want to finish the Christmas stuff by the end of this week. Loverly |

| | Thank you Doug! I'm glad to hear they look cool! I just hope the people at the school will still say that when they see the prices! I guess I'll find out soon enough! Loverly |

| | | I think they look great and wish you great success in your business. Starting off is nerve racking. I too worried what people would think about my prices... still do. I don't know why. Still, I think you're off to a good start. |

| | Thank you very much Nancy!
Twin Kissed, Yes, I am a lil nervous about the whole thing but I know that my Photoshop skills are pretty good so if my photography skills lack a bit I probably can fix them! lol
I was encouraged that the last 2 belt tests 2 mothers asked me to take photos of their kids since they forgot their cameras! So that is what got me to thinking about asking the master of the school about this. Lucky for me he also loves photography! btw..the Master is the dude on the collages in b/w. Loverly |

| | Amber,
Thank you very much! I'm sort of excited myself!
I'll let you all know how it goes. I will have all the price sheets and collages to the Master of the Taekwondo school by the end of this week so now it is a waiting game!
hugs, Loverly |
