Anyone had any success?

Hi, everyone, this is a great forum.

I was wondering if anyone has had any success with photo retouching for the magazine industry

Well, I'm not driving a Porsche, if that's what you mean. What's up?

After you post your less than 100K version, you could link to a site that is hosting a larger version.(like imagevenue.com or pixentral.com or photobucket.com)

Re: Anyone had any success?

OOPS,we must have posted about the same time.. Sorry Benny.. didn't mean to offend.. we were just following your lead..

I just put this post in the same vain as the OPs other post at:

http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/cla...lp-please.html

Where the OP asks the following "I'm looking for someone who has access to these kind of sites with credentials, who has the abilaty to ask for certain photos from a photoshoot/photographer, generally most are sydication and you have to ask to view these pics. I'm only interested in Janet Jackson photoshoots (as I'm a huge fan)"

I thought maybe the OP was still looking for an inside way to use your professional access to your clients or contacts.
I may be wrong but I personally did not take the question seriously in light of the previous posts by this OP

hmmmm...I see. Well, I drive a 6 year old Subaru, and have done thousands of magazine retouches. A friend of mine used to own a Porsche.

I'm really getting sick of you.

I was only asking a question if anyone has a success as in a good job with a magazine company, as I'm wanting to go in that direction as a job, I just wanted to know what it was like etc... and it has nothing to do with the other question

I don't like your attitude.

it's a computer desk job like any other, stare at a monitor for 50 hours a week and you'll have a general impression on what the day to day is like for a full-time staff retoucher. the most significant difference to me is the darkness. the lights are always off, the windows curtained so no light interferes with the monitors, effecting a complete loss of any sense of time

also, i've been surprised on more than one occasion, seeing co-workers outside the office and not recognizing them, cause i've never seen their faces in the light before. weird
