I'll trade a few more nuggets of genius for free CS4, OK?

It would be interesting to know why there is such a huge price difference. International legals/licensing stuff would contribute to some extent but surely not to that great a difference in pricing. Just FYI Australian price for PS4 upgrade at adobe's online store is AUD$299 - that's USD$248! Ouch!

Be interesting to know!

Benny YOU buy it, its damn cheaper for you - I'll come round your house in a sheepskin jacket, with a brown paper bag full of used five pound notes.

Re: Adobe CS4 price policy-protest

I agree that the pricing jump is completely unjustified, and I applaud that you're at least speaking up about it.

Personally, I'd buy it from within the US (or at least make it look like I did). Dishonest perhaps, but they are price gouging just because they can.

And I definitely agree with many of you who said they own the market because of the 'free trials' many of us started with.. I have absolutely no doubt that's what gave them their widespread dominance (their innovation is what keeps it, but that only came after they had the market).

I've been using PS since v3.1 or so, and when I started using it for business around v6 I've had a license for every version since. I haven't upgraded to CS4 yet, but if I were in Europe I too would be reconsidering doing it all.

Listen, it's not really price gouging. It's the weak dollar. Right?

It's why you Euros are buying up apartments and visiting $450 hotel rooms in Manhattan while the rest of us, uh, ...... have to drive....uh....used ...... Range Rovers. So, there.
