Retouch scam (part 2)

Hey guys!
Do any of you guys remember this thread from a few years ago?
http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/wor...ouch-scam.html

And did you see the Photo Restoration Guru Awards Winner?

I don't know man, I don't have proof. But I don't believe this. I think it's one of those Philippenians again!
Check out his website, doesn't look like a professional;

Re: Retouch scam (part 2)

I see there are 2 similar images. One is in the guru site (the philipinian woman) and the other in the site of the "retoucher". What I find weird is that both photos are printed in a cheap paper (like the ones found in the magazines, not photographic paper) and the scratches and crumples looks recent, not from the old times like the before picture tryes to show. Even the unbalanced colors looks too digital and the paper is glossy instead matte.

Considering the lame way he retouchs the skin, and the not corrected white balance (he say's he has experience in color correction) makes me see that guy is quite fake. None who can rebuild a picture like the one in the example will have so lame skills for skin retouch. The "ripped" picture needs a lot of retouching, not only the figure as you all know, but also the shades and the lights. Hard stuff to do for someone which retouchs are quite bad.

The original on retoucher's site shows less physical damage. Retouched picture shows his skill in colorization, but I have no idea, why his other retouches are so weird?

Nice point. I didn't compared both pics so "goodly". And the same question about the cheap retouch on the other pics. Also, repairing such messy pic means that he's not only perfect at colorization, also a damn good retoucher. most of the technique used in the restoration can be used in glamour as well, but he didn't... That's another good point.
