BUT, you need to retouch like a Pro, talk like a Pro, and be very Professional, without all the childish text talk U use, K... It is time to Man-up or Woman-up as the case may be and grow-up... Not all here in this Forum are 'guys' either!

Re: freelance jobs

Yes, I have an attitude and my attitude is that people should try to help the OP in the request to "find photographers for work, for fashion and beauty pictures for touch ups etc, and an online forum to contact photographers and forums for the digital fashion and art scene." Instead of nit-picking my meager attempt to help and yes I am prejudice against people who have no respect for proper decorum, the OP included. These trivial, taunting, or contemptuous postings do not help the OP

The OP has supposedly been "messing about in photoshop for over 3 years, wants to be a professional retoucher in the fashion industry". I think someone (hint, hint, aartist or quantum) should offer the OP an internship with yourselves as an apprentice retoucher in your area. I am sure you could teach them the ins and outs of the industry and maybe the OP could learn some of the basics and with your tutelage learn it in less than three years. Basic things such as, what is a layer mask, that adjustment layers have masks attached to the layer, how to incorporate and use a non-destructive work flow, grouping layers for ease of changing things later in the process, the basic uses of the High Pass and Low Pass Filters whilst airbrushing, the fact that airbrushing is not the end all for retouching (there are other techniques such as Dodge and Burn that some Pros use), and the OP should learn the meaning of "copyright". After three years of messing around in Photoshop the OP is still clueless to these basic aspects. Maybe working with you as a mentor within your programs.. aartist using PSP and/or quantum using Photoshop, this individual could become a true professional in the industry. Now THAT would help! Not these facetious, bantering, remarks.

Get back on track people.

Thumbs up Re: freelance jobs

I may have said you had a bit of an attitude but that is
why I like you!

Discipline is much needed by those who want to be
successful and I think you make no bones about letting
people know in a straight forward and matter of fact manner.

Re: freelance jobs

Well said Granny ---
I am not that well versed in the post production (especially High end) to really help someone as I sometimes struggle with getting it "right" . .

Re: freelance jobs

Talking like a pro or whatever X like a pro doesn't mean we're. That's what I meant, Granny, going straight to the point.
