Any Retouch studios in Vancouver?

Hello all,
I'm returning to Vancouver from a pretty long stay in Japan and I was wondering if anyone might know of a place in or near Vancouver that is in need of a Retoucher. Any info would be great.

hey Darren, I had a look at this myself not that long ago. Studio 88 was one that popped up along with some others. Not that many. I had lunch with Steve Pinter the other week, http://istvanpinter.com/ and he told me to move to Toronto. The big commercial jobs seem to be in Toronto along with most of the retouching houses.

Hey Lukas, Studio 88 was one of the few that I noticed as well. I contacted Eydis through retouchpro but haven't got a response. Toronto is certainly the place to be in Canada for retouching...I just don't really want to leave Vancouver if I don't have to. Have you had any luck with your search in Toronto?

I don't know if they're hiring or not, but The Orange Apple is a studio in Vancouver that does pretty great stuff.http://theorangeapple.ca/

Hi Janko, thanks for the link. I emailed them a while back and it sounds like they are a pretty tight knit group, not in a situation to bring in extra hands or even outsource. Your right though, they do create pretty stunning work. Thanks for the help.

We were looking into Vancouver before we made the move to Canada..... It was obvious that it would not work for me. So had to move to Ontario. I am still in the middle of nowhere, but can drive into Toronto in less than 2 hrs.

Hi Jeff, thanks for the info. It really seems that all signs point towards Ontario for retouching...I have to move back to Vancouver for starters but once I'm a little established there I'll probably be on my way east.
