Retouching In America

Hi is there anyone out there who does archtectural retouching for clients from America?
I work for a photographer in London but have been asked to do some work for a client in New York. I have heard retouching commands a far higher price in America but im not sure what the figure is.
If anyone knows then a price per image for-

* Editorial
* Corporate
* Advertising

Working abroad, your WORD is the only thing you have going for you. Charging more to a client based on where HE lives is not a good business call. You never know if they know eachother (world is very very small)

The reason I am looking for work further afield is because I get very little money for the hours i put in per image in the UK.
Hence im looking to make more money and enter new markets.

I disagree with the tone these statements seem to make. The OP seemed to just be inquiring what he had been told was in fact true, I dont find him a swindler trying to make extra bucks, but a business man expanding his horizons.
