I'm planning on getting photoshop cs5. adobe has a 30% off lightroom3 when you get the cs5. Now I'm just a greenhorn getting started with no experiance at the moment. leaning alot on the restoration end of this field.
can anyone tell me if this software would be a worthy asset.

If you need a product to keep track of your images, build web galleries or do a lot of printing, yes, absolutely. Plus I find my use of Photoshop has dropped dramatically since using LR to render (process my raws). The print module is worth the price of admission alone if you do much printing. Far more effective than printing from Photoshop.
