I'm looking into freelance photo editing

So tomorrow I'll be making a call to an organization for the information I need to do freelance work. Can anyone here give me tips or advice on how it'll work out or what I'll need?

The only experience I have is in school. I've done a few retouching projects at school like removing a person's glasses, cleaning a damaged pic of Cameron Diaz and getting rid of distractions in a background. I have other leftover work from school I can practice on.

Should I have more than this? Should I do some other free work before starting freelance? Any other tips/advice would be greatly appreciated.
