Re: how can i build my folio

There are a few ways to go about getting things up and running.

1.) You become the photographer, and go out to your favorite buildings in your local city or homes. do your own photoshoots , then retouch them. If you don't own an SLR camera, try and buy one. A 550D Canon is a good entry level camera. If you don't want to buy one, you could either rent one or maybe borrow an SLR off a friend.

2). Networking, You could find a photographer who's passion is architecture. The both of you could work something out as far as retouching goes. He or she can give you the images but you retouch them for free.

3.) If you don't want to do your own photoshoots or can't find a photographer. You could try looking a stock photography. The only tough part about stock images is that most of the time, the images are already retouched because they are trying to sell them. Plus you have to pay for them.

I'm not sure if you want to join a studio or become a freelancer. I've only seen one retouching house that caters to architecture, and that's mainly real estate. There is a huge market in that.
