I agree with Chris. Realistically by hiring out a sub the burden should be on you if the client doesn't pay. Otherwise you do lose credibility.

Just my thoughts. Now knowing that the client hadn't agreed to pay, it does look like you farmed out a job that you didn't want to take the time for knowing you might not be paid for it.

Flora is being nice about it If you had chosen something I had worked on, and then didn't pay I wouldn't be as happy

When I phoned her and talked to her, she told me she was very interested, and sounded very nice and sure to go through with it. I don't know why she isn't responding to me now.

I understand what you posted.

The reality was, you offered a job, someone did the job, and for whatever reason you didn't pay for the job. There was never a clause in the offer stating that the person who did the restoral would be paid if your client accepted the job.

You brought up how others might view you on the forum. I stated my opinion on the matter of someone offering a job, and then not paying for the completed job. And from the other comments I would have to say I'm not the only one with these thoughts.

I'm not trying to start an argument, I was just pointing out an opinion.
