[QUOTE=Juliana Ross]darn I broke the rules and flamed lightly

Ahh, more of a light bun warming than a flame.

Oh, and please don't apologize for sharing someone's nationality. I'm American, and there ain't enough space on Doug's server to hold all the apologies I'd have to make!

I don't agree. Flora's version was much better. Hers was even in tone. His is splotched. I believe the one on his page is done by himself. And getting help to learn a technique is perfectly valid.

So let's not execute him for a crime he didn't commit!

Hi everybody,

... first of all, thank you very much for all the kind words that have been said about me in this Thread!

For all Tyler might have done wrong, which, in my opinion, is mostly due to immaturity (as it has been already pointed out), I'd like to 'clear' him of the doubt that he might have used my restoration for his Website Portfolio .... He did NOT! It's his restoration.

Just to finish on a happy note .... I do hope he got to that result by following my 'step-by-step' description.... it took me quite a while to write it down... ...

Agreed, should be put to rest with respect to TylerCruz who has probably suffered plenty at this point. The subject of work for hire through RP however, should maybe get a more objective treatment without it having to be at someone's personal expense.

One reason I say that is, as soon as this thread was initiated, it occurred to me that I know someone who could benefit from the skill and generosity available in this group. It's a local county museum curator who has both documents and photos in need of restoration or digital conservation. I haven't figured out how he could tap into RP for some help but he does have a budget. It's a small budget which would not cover professionally contracted restoration but it could possibly help pay for RetouchPro by way of members doing work for donations sort of like Flora intended.
Keep in mind that I'm thinking here, not arranging a project... I've only mentioned it to him once and that was casual.
It would be worthwhile to explore this sort of concept though, in a non-specific way just to see what ideas pop-up. It might lead to a source of funding to RP.

I hope I didn't just step in...

I'm not comfortable acting as a broker, but we do have a classifieds forum for just this kind of thing.
