deja-vecu.com

Finally, after buying hosting/domain name in July, I have "launched" my little portfolio site.

I'd like to hear your feedback, what can I add/remove, how can I improve the site?

http://deja-vecu.com

thanks

Re: deja-vecu.com

I like the backdrop, but don't quite get the layout. To me you would be better having the menu on the right (in the black) and all your content in the white area. Your content is the most important part, so it should take up most of the space. Blank areas don't work for you, where areas filled with content do. Make the most of every square inch of the screen

Re: deja-vecu.com

hi,
my opinion, your site is on the conservative side. When I go to a site I l ike to be impress and say to myself ooh and ahhs....

1. I think you need more examples of your work to show off your abilites and what you can do for a customer

2. In the manipulation section, although I am impressed with your pictures the average person, unless trained, will not see the maniulation you made. It always good when using before and after pictures to use pictures that DRAMATICALLY show what you did to a picture. That a opportunity to really show off your work, get thoughs ooh and ahh's and the person will remember for sure ... YOU!!!
For example of before and after... some one put alink on this board to a dove commerical..smile... well when look at that and see the before of a plain person and then see after the makeup and manipulation transformaing that plain gal to a raving beauty,,,,,, you get those oooh and ahh and you remember that clip!!!!!

3. Under the services page, you list several services, this a oustanding opportunity to show off your your skills with additional examples and in some cases using dramatic before and after pictures..... again you can get those ooh and ahhs and the customer will remember you!!

Well those are my thoughts. Maybe put in a more colorfull background.... appropriate music in the background...mmm not sure about that maybe distracting...... but it a interesting idea...
